About ride2cycling
ride2cycling was the idea of lead organiser and volunteer, Rich Tindale, a keen cyclist and Formula 1 fan who has lived with Multiple Sclerosis since 2007.‘After I was diagnosed in 2007, I got into cycling to build my fitness and strength. I signed up for a London to Paris cycle ride in 2008 with my best friend Si, and raised over £5000 for the The MS Trust during the challenge. I started mountain biking a lot at our local Chase Trails, but then in 2011 I had an MS relapse that affected my vision quite badly. I love cycling, but at the time I couldn’t even think about getting on a bike. So I decided that when I was back in action I’d arrange our own charity ride to, as a massive F1 fan, an F1 race in Europe in support of the MS Trust. So in 2012 ride2spa was organised! It was an amazing event, you can’t buy the feeling you get when you reach the finish line of a super tough challenge! It’s a great way to combine two things I love while raising funds and awareness for causes that are close to my heart.’

ride2austria 2023 was our 6th ride2cycling event, and altogether we’ve raised over £100,000 for various worthy causes since ride2spa in 2012. 😀
The cost our events are covered entirely by the Team Members taking part, meaning every penny of sponsorship pledged to the team is donated to the worthy causes we support.
There’s nothing ‘official’ about our events, we’re just a group of friends who like cycling and getting together and seeing how far we can push ourselves, whilst raising money and awareness for various worthy causes close to our hearts. ❤️
